Version 10 Upgrades

  1. New graphical user interface – Comes with 1024 X 720 resolution for easier viewing and navigation.
  2. Staff Scheduling - Includes profitability on sales per hour with complete calendar function and when they are working and logging days missed..
  3. Select Feature on add to file – On the “Add to File” for contact lens and eyeglass lens, you can search by type, sphere power or cylinder power.
  4. Line Item Discounts – include the item discounted in the description.
  5. Add Miscellaneous Inventory – On the billing screen opens directly to barcode scanner function.
  6. Frame Inventory – Delete barcode from stock to be able to reuse them.
  7. Send birthday cards – Marketing includes selection to choose clients by birthday month.
  8. Discount tool – Make discounts on either the invoice or invoice items.
  9. Search Tool – Search past records on all client screens.
  10. Client Find – Makes history of last seven searches.
  11. Credit Card Info – Client access defined with 128 bit encryption.
  12. Security lockdown on Web connectivity – For servers needing extra security on hard drive file access.
  13. Process Web Data - Now includes a dialog box to ask to check record processed.
  14. Inventory list reports - Can be limited by "In Stock" versus "All Entries" per location.
  15. RX - Doctors name and date added to prescriptions.
  16. Staff activity tracking  - Includes viewing of credit card information.
  17. Inventory Orders - Reset "minimum quantity" to zero and select items for reorder. Great for ordering eyeglass frames.
  18. Inventory Management - Use new tool to delete old stock from database. The tool is date of entry sensitive and makes for easier frame searching.

 

Version 09 Upgrades

  1. Vista Ready - Optizone Enterprise is now Windows Vista Compliant.
  2. RDA 9 Rapid Data Architecture – New for 09, the client information data architecture has received an entirely new process sub-routine. The speed it takes to view screens on client information has been decreased by four times. Larger databases will see even greater speed efficiencies. RAM requirements for the serving computer have been cut in half or more.
  3. Staff Scheduler – Complete with reporting for Vacation, Sick Days Overtime etc. Staff scheduler links with staff productivity reporting.
  4. Staff Productivity Reporting – Examine how many hours each employee works and how much profit they make for you by the hour.
  5. Invoice Redesign – Invoice printouts now include client e-mail information to reflect our changing times.
  6. Invoice Delete Security – New security addition allows staff to delete an invoice with an explanation for the delete. The system administrator controls this tool access.
  7. Invoice Tag – A new invoice tag has been added with user-defined types. Perhaps you want to track a new advertising method to check productivity. Use this tool for many purposes: Remakes, refunds, Doctor Redo, Write Offs etc.
  8. Accounting Reports – The accounting reports were refined and enhanced for easier reading and comprehension.
  9. Client Address Information – Product Interest and International phone number field added.
  10. Collect Web Data – Data interface to your web site with client services. Address Change, Appointments, Contact Lens Orders, Message Inquiry, New Client Registration.
  11. Invoices Not Shipped / Dispensed – Track and summarize amount due on all invoices where the product has not been picked up or shipped.
  12. Staff Sales Logs – Now include tracking for invoice sales and invoice dispensing (product pick up). Great for commissioned sales staff to complete the dispensing as well as making the sale.
  13. Advanced Inventory Search – Now includes search by tag / supplier and by item “contains” search word.
  14. Half Size Contact Lens Orders – Print out orders for contact lens orders on half sized paper sheet if desired.
  15. Credit Card Security Number – New field has been added to collect the number from the back of credit cards to do phone orders.
  16. File Reassignment – If a client was erroneously duplicated, the resulting file can be joined with the master file.
  17. Multi Practitioner Appointment Calendar B – Use the staff admin directory to create a list of available practitioners to have a dedicated appointment schedule.

 

Version 08 Upgrades

  1. Advanced Screen Access – You can assign level access for screens by value and attenuated staff permissions to have a set level.
  2. Data Maintenance - Under the master marketing list, there is a tab called "Data Maintenance". Use the tools on this page to clean data under the client information fields. For instance, you can check to see if there are misspellings of a city. You can group them together and then replace the field with the proper spelling.
  3. Inventory Count Tool – Use the new tool for low-level security access staff to count inventory without any inventory access.
  4. Expanded Exam Record – The exam form has been expanded with memo fields to accept unlimited report input. Use an exam template that you design and or use combo boxes to fill in data.
  5. Sales Logs Today Only – Use this screen for staff with lower security settings to allow reconciliation of accounting logs without giving access to complete accounting history.
  6. Mail Marketing List – New query tool allows searching the database by last purchase date between a range of dates.
  7. Exam reports – Print either exam referral or exam record on paper.
  8. Client graphics file – Zoom on graphics was modified to view graphics such as cornea topography with greater detail.
  9. Client Find Tool – Search on phone number is only one field to search against and will automatically search against the home, work fax and cell phone numbers.
  10. Add Attachment for e-mails – On button click it defaults to “All Files” for easier searching.
  11. Optical Calculator Tool – The tool was refined for even easier use.
  12. Patient DOB – Calculates age of patient in years and months.
  13. Patient information – Magnify and minify picture buttons were added for field zoom.
  14. Inventory Pricing – Set pricing in inventory by data set using advanced tools in main inventory.
  15. Security – New Add Inventory Only, Count Inventory Only with password level control.
  16. Insurance Provider Invoice – Now includes payment list.
  17. Invoice security passkey  – Now has no edit on invoice items “after save” on initial invoice generation.
  18. Client Graphics / PDF Files – The client file database will show and display graphics plus pdf and many other file formats.
  19. Client Exam Form – Now includes field size enlargement for easy editing and viewing for staff writing lengthy exam notes.
  20. Inventory Best Sellers – Create a list of your best selling inventory items by quantity sold.
  21. Appointment Schedules – Choose from 15-20-30 minute intervals.  

 

Version 07 Upgrades

  1. New Data Engine – Optizone has been updated to the new Visual FoxPro 9.0 data engine with many new speed enhancements.
  2. Numerous upgrades to many forms - Issues on past reports have been upgraded. Screen graphic interface includes New Microsoft XP button display and high definition graphics or switch to Windows Classic.
  3. Delete button on invoices - The deleted invoice becomes voided with all invoice items and payments received. The invoice is assigned to client # -1000 and will show on sales logs on the day it was voided.
  4. Payments on invoices – Invoice reports were expanded to show all payments made on invoice and method.
  5. Staff logon for larger chain stores – Logon was added to more closely control staff activity and monitoring. Use passkey level 4 on the "Password Screen" under "Additional Security Features" to activate. Use “Staff Log Out” to change staff number logon without closing Optizone.
  6. Public Staff Directory and Staff Admin - Use to control staff security logon and provide public communications between staff on phone and email.
  7. File Notes – Notes were added to the eyeglass and contact lens screens different from ordering notes. The file notes are not displayed on order forms.
  8. Staff Activity Tracking – When using the staff logon screen, the main procedures done to the client files are documented. If a payment is missing from a file, you could look up the staff activity on that client to see which staff member performed the deletion. Furthermore, you can create reports that show what procedures that your staff is performing in whole.
  9. Account Receivable Screen – New interactive screen allows for more detailed list creation for monthly billing.
  10. Inventory Pricing – Use the on board tool to create retail pricing from wholesale costs. For instance, wholesale cost is $100.00, multiply by 2.2, add $20.00 and click “Make Price”, retail price equals $240.00.
  11. Client Information – Preview has been added to all screens.
  12. Appointment Schedule – The schedule have been expanded in size and the character capacity of the fields has been expanded from 50 to 80 units.
  13. Invoice Security Lock Down – Use the advanced tools under password security to enable or disable buttons, fields and grids on the invoice screen as desired. Selection is available by store location.
  14. Staff Sales Accounting – Staff sales has been expanded to include gross profit on sales for more detailed analysis of employee performance.
  15. Barcode Counter – On inventory barcode count, the tool was modified to give a notice “Item Not Found” in red print and hard beep and then reset automatically to continue counting. Before the computer required a click on the station to continue. It still sounds a soft beep to let you know the item has been found.
  16. Business Information Security – Password level 4 is required to edit “Business Information”.
  17. Invoice Taxation – The invoice will now archive past sales tax rates to avoid conflict of “Edits” on old invoices with different tax rates. When editing an old invoice, input the tax rate from that time period and click the tax buttons on the line items off and on to correct the invoice. Otherwise, if the invoice has not been edited, the sales and tax logs will still calculate the correct amounts.
